V roce 2015 otevřelo Národní technické muzeum v budovách bývalých výrobních objektů zrušeného kláštera v západočeských Plasích svou novou pobočku s názvem Centrum stavitelského dědictví NTM Plasy. Pro umístění této nové pobočky muzeum mimo jiné zrekonstruovalo areál zahrnující bývalý klášterní mlýn a budovy pivovaru. V průběhu přípravy a realizace projektu učinili pracovníci muzea řadu zajímavých zjištění o historii těchto budov. Tato publikace tak není jen přehledem historie těchto objektů: představuje také objevy učiněné na základě archeologických a speleologických výzkumů a bádání o historii objektů a minulých renovacích.
In 2015, the National Technical Museum had opened in the buildings of former production facilities of a dissolved monastery in west Bohemian Plasy its new branch called Centre of Building Heritage. To house this new branch, the museum had, among other things, renovated a compound including a former monastery mill and buildings of the brewery. In the course of preparation and realisation of the project, the staff made a number of interesting discoveries about the history of these buildings. This publication is thus not just an overview of history of these objects: it also presents discoveries made on the basis of archaeological and speleological research and investigation into the buildings’ history and past renovations.
