Otokar Feistmantel (1848-1981): and the Indian Collection of the Naprstek Museum Prague.

Thesis deals with personality prof. MD. Otokar Feistmantel (1848-1891), a Czech geologist and paleontologist, and his collecting activities in the period when he was in Kolkata in the Indian Geological Institute (1875-1883). The collection, which includes demonstrations of Indian arts and crafts, fine art and everyday objects, has not been evaluated in a broader museological, ethnographic and art history context.
